Court Grants Summary Judgment Dismissing Medical Malpractice Case Against Florida Hospital Zephyrhills

McCumber Daniels has secured a final summary judgment on behalf of the hospital defendant in a medical malpractice case against Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. Plaintiff had alleged that the hospital was negligent in improperly assessing a patient who had been admitted to the hospital complaining of chest pains. Specifically, the plaintiff contended that the failure of the hospital to conduct a stress test or order certain medications, led to the death of the patient several months later.

Judge Wayne Cobb granted the Defendant’s Motion for Final Summary Judgment finding that the plaintiff failed to establish evidence of medical causation as argued by the defense.
